Biography

Jessica has won numerous local, national, and international awards for her piano playing. Recognition came early when she won the 2013 Arizona Young Artists Piano Competition and the 2013 Arizona Future Stars Piano Competition. At age 10, Jessica made her orchestral debut playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the MusicaNova Orchestra, with whom she has also performed in 2013, 2016, and 2018 for their Young Artist Concert Series.

International awards include 1st place in 2019 Arthur Fraser International Competition, 2nd place and the Audience Prize at the 2016 International Institute for Young Musicians International Piano Competition, and 3rd place at the 2016 Helen Taylor Johannesen International Piano Competition.

Other awards include: 2nd Place in the 2015 MTNA Junior Piano Competition and the National Chopin Foundation’s Chopin Prize; 1st place in the senior piano division and overall Grand Prize winner of the 2019 PYS Concerto Competition; 1st place in Division I of the 2016 Arizona Musicfest Young Musicians Piano Competition and Division II in 2018; 1st place in the 2016 AZ MTNA Senior Piano Division.

Jessica played Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Phoenix Symphony in 2019. Most recently she performed Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor as a guest artist for the opening concert of the South Carolina Philharmonic’s 2021/22 season.
